The service

Ask Sun Tzu combines reviewed educational content about The Art of War, deterministic interactive simulations, private strategy workflows, and AI-generated explanations or plans. Features, languages, and platform availability may differ by release and region.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement in your jurisdiction. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.

Accounts

Provide accurate sign-in information and protect access to your email and provider accounts. Sign-ins that return the same verified email may be treated as one account. Apple or another provider may return a relay address, which can create a separate account if it differs from your other sign-in email.

You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.

Server storage and cross-device use

Profile details, private strategy content, AI conversations and responses, strategy cards, missions, simulations and debriefs, learning progress, and subscription entitlements that you submit or save are hosted on our servers and linked to the signed-in account.

When you sign in to the same account in an iOS or Android app that supports the relevant feature, you can use data saved on our servers. Theme, language, notification schedules, local caches, unsubmitted drafts, and other device data may not sync. Available features also depend on the app version, network, and account status.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

• The purchase screen shows the product, current price, billing period, trial eligibility, renewal terms, and platform that processes payment. Those displayed terms control your purchase.
• Eligible new subscribers may be offered a 7-day introductory trial. Unless cancelled before it ends, the subscription renews automatically at the displayed price and interval.
• At present, iOS purchases are processed by Apple. Purchases offered on another platform are processed under that store's terms. ChainBow does not receive your full payment-card details.
• Cancel through the store account used for purchase. Cancellation stops a future renewal but normally does not refund the current period. Refund decisions are handled under the applicable store's policy and mandatory law.
• Deleting the Ask Sun Tzu account does not cancel the store subscription. Restoring a purchase requires the same store account that made it.

Cloud AI services

When you use AI features, Ask Sun Tzu sends your question and related context through ChainBow servers and ChainBow's AI gateway to a third-party Cloud AI service to generate the response.

The Cloud AI services we use include OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude). A request is sent to one of these Cloud AI services. If optional public-web lookup is enabled for a request, a derived public search query—not the full conversation—may also be sent to Exa.

These Cloud AI services process the request under their API terms and the data-processing arrangements with ChainBow. We may add, remove, or switch Cloud AI services to keep the service available, and we will update this page when the list changes.

AI usage limits

A subscription currently includes up to 120 completed AI strategy responses per calendar month and an anti-abuse limit of up to 40 in one day. An introductory trial currently includes up to 30 completed responses during the trial and an anti-abuse limit of up to 10 in one day. Failed or cancelled generation may be released back to the allowance where the system can verify that no result was delivered.

We may adjust limits to protect service availability or reflect provider cost, but we will not describe a finite service as unlimited. Saved content and non-AI learning features may remain available when an AI limit is reached, subject to the current product rules.

AI and professional decisions

AI output can be incomplete, outdated, biased, or wrong. Citations and source references help you inspect the reasoning but do not guarantee accuracy.

The service does not provide legal, medical, financial, employment, safety, or other professional advice. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for a high-impact decision. You remain responsible for checking facts, consulting qualified professionals, and deciding what to do.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service to break the law, facilitate violence or abuse, exploit or deceive a person, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, or generate malware or unauthorized access instructions.
• Do not scrape private service data, bypass subscription or rate limits, interfere with infrastructure, automate access without permission, or misrepresent AI output as verified professional advice.
• We may refuse a request, remove content, limit access, or suspend an account when reasonably necessary for safety, law, security, or enforcement of these terms.

Content and licenses

The ancient source text may be in the public domain. ChainBow's translations, editorial explanations, software, simulations, visual assets, strategy library, and brand elements are protected and are licensed for personal, non-transferable use, not sold to you.

You keep any rights you have in content you submit. You grant ChainBow the limited rights needed to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content to operate, secure, and improve the service and to respond to your support requests.

Feedback may be used to improve the service without payment or attribution, but we will not publish your private strategy content as a testimonial without permission.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. AI providers, store services, networks, and devices can fail. We may change or discontinue a feature, with reasonable notice when a material paid feature is affected.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service, cancel your subscription, and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, legal requirement, security risk, non-payment, or misuse. Provisions that by nature should survive termination remain in effect.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. ChainBow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from reliance on AI output or use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer or other mandatory law.

Governing law and court

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless mandatory law gives you another forum, the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another reasonable channel before they take effect where required. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
